My writer-friend Tyler Frantz of Natural Pursuit Outdoors this week shared a pretty unique video of his recent turkey hunt. Why is it unique? Because Tyler misses a jake at 10 yards. For most marksmen, connecting on a shot at that distance is a given.

It’s rare that hunters admit to missing a sure thing – especially when there is visual evidence to back it up. But all hunters have misses and mishaps while afied, and for some of us they happen more often than not. Actually, I know that feeling quite well.

Check it out:

Kudos to Tyler for sharing his experience. If you get the chance, check out his other work at Natural Pursuit Outdoors. Be sure to watch the video of his fall archery hunt. It’s top notch.

I’ll be seeing Tyler next weekend at the Pennsylvania Outdoor Writers Association spring conference in Shippensburg. Hopefully we’ll get to do some fishing, and have better results than he did with this shot.
